In addition to the above meaning, this sea area and island also have outstanding and unique values ​​in terms of resources and environment, especially the characteristics of ecology and marine biological resources.

Ecological and biodiversity database is an indispensable information system in the field of management, conservation and development of biological resources. access and share...with many different forms, serving many needs of exploitation and use. With the continuous development of current science and technology, especially 4.0 technology, the application of advanced and modern data management systems to optimize the database ensures flexibility according to needs. User requirements, data security, data integrity, enhanced data access, expanded information sharing and visualization are the first choice for many database managers. .

In recent years, VRTC has focused on conducting research and surveys on the ecology and biological resources in the Truong Sa archipelago of Vietnam and has obtained various significant results. Based on a part of the findings, an online digital database (online atlas) of biological species in the Truong Sa archipelago was developed.
The atlas comprises a list and detailed descriptions of 426 species recorded by VRTC in the Truong Sa archipelago, including 203 marine fish species and 223 terrestrial species.
